Chestnut mousse


  • 175 gr dark chocolate
  • 350 gr chestnut puree
  • 250 gr mascarpone
  • 4 dl cream
  • 4 tbsp rum
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar


  1. chop the chocolate in fine pieces
  2. whip the cream with the powdered sugar
  3. mix the chestnut puree, with rum, vanilla sugar
  4. add the mascarpone till smooth
  5. then add the chopped chocolate pieces
  6. finally carefully mix the whipped cream to it
  7. put the mousse for at least three hours in the fridge


  • you can do the recipes also with lactose free mascarpone and lactose free cream
  • instead of rum you can also use whiskey, or cognac, whatever you prefer
  • garnish the mousse with some chocolate powder
  • you also can leave the chocolate away, if you want
